Welcome to the online home for the Chief Sealth Music Department!

The Music Department at Chief Sealth High School involves over one hundred students in seven performing ensembles. The diversity of the department is unrivaled, involving students from many of the different cultures represented in our student population, and honoring a wide range of musical repertoire from many countries.

The Music Department is headed by Debbie Meyer, now enjoying her ninth year at Chief Sealth. Denny Middle School music educators Jorge Morales and Marcus Pimpleton teach strings, piano, and steel drums, further expanding the options available to Chief Sealth students interested in pursuing music. Joining us also this year is Marty Kelly Peterson, a student teacher from Seattle Pacific University.

All of the ensembles perform at our annual departmental concerts in addition to participating in various events within the school and throughout the community.
